Día Mundial de la Metrología 2001
Con motivo de la 21º Conferencia General
de Pesas y Medidas, celebrada en París en Octubre de
1999, el Comité Internacional de Pesas y Medidas
anunció que el 20 de Mayo, aniversario de la firma del
Tratado del Metro, en 1875, sería declarado como Día
Mundial de la Metrología. Este aniversario se celebra
por segunda ocasión en todos lo países en 2001.

World Metrology Day
On
occasion of the 21st General Conference of
Weights and Measures, which took place in Paris, during
October of 1999, the International Committee of Weights
and Measures announced that 20 May, the anniversary of
the signing of the Treaty of the Meter, in 1875, shall
be designed World Metrology Day. 2001 is the second year
this anniversary is celebrated around the world.
