La
trayectoria del Profesor Rafael Steinberg, primer
presidente del SIM, fue reconocida en la Asamblea
General celebrada en Heredia, Costa Rica en septiembre
de 1998. En esta composición, se presentan en blanco y
negro los asistentes a la Asamblea General del 3 de
septiembre de 1979, en Buenos Aires, Argentina y en
color imágenes de la reunión en Costa Rica. El Prof.
Steinberg aparece acompañado del Dr. Hector Nava Jaimes,
Presidente saliente y miembro fundador del SIM, así como
del Consejo General electo para el periodo 1998-2001.

Rafael Steinberg, first president of SIM, was recognized
for his contributions to the organization, during the
General Assembly held in Heredia, Costa Rica, last
September, 1998. Shown in black and white are the
attendees to the first SIM General Assembly held in
Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 3, 1979. Color
photographs are from the meeting in Costa Rica. Prof.
Steinberg was joined at the ceremony by Dr. Hector
