SIM Presidency - elected by General Assembly Executive Secretariat - is a staff member of the Department of Science and Technology of the OAS, or a designee.
SIM General-Council - composed of the President in office , the Coordinator for each of the five Regions (NORAMET, CAMET, ANDIMET, SURAMET and CARIMET) , the Executive Secretary, the coordinators of the Permanent Committees and the Technical Advisor.

Permanent Technical Advisor - is a staff member NIST, or a designee.

Professional Development Committee - composed of a representative of each one of the SIM regions and elected, from within its members, a President and a Secretary for a two year term.

Technical Metrology Committee - composed of one member of each of the SIM regions and elected, from within its members, a President and a Secretary for a two year term.
